Finca Mono Verde is a tropical learning and experimentation farm located in coastal Ecuador. The unique environmental, cultural and agricultural characteristics of the area make it an ideal place for experimenting with new ideas, reviving local traditions and creating an international learning center that supports a stronger and healthier community. We invite you to be part of Finca Mono Verde through volunteerism, a custom internship, research, knowledge sharing or by making a donation.

Our response to the April 16, 2016 Ecuadorian Earthquake:
Finca Mono Verde was shocked and saddened by the destruction throughout coastal Ecuador from the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that hit just north of Pedernales in April. Our farm buildings, staff and interns all made it safely through this event, but the houses of our neighbors were not so lucky. Between 40-60% of the buildings in Tabuga have been completely flattened or are unsafe to live in, and the destruction in the the nearby towns of Jama and Pedernales is even more complete.
To help the region recover from this tragedy, we have joined forces with the Ceiba Foundation for Tropical Conservation and the Third Millennium Alliance, both conservation reserves within 10 miles of our farm. We started raising funds at the link www.youcaring.com/ceiba, and to date we have raised over $74,000 of our $100,000 goal! Please help us if you can, by sharing this link far and wide, and donating if you have the means.
With these funds, we have led coordinated aid convoys from Quito with many donated supplies, taken censuses of Tabuga and Camarones, and constructed shelters, latrines and temporary housing. Other groups in Ecuador have also added their support for our efforts.
